Why Telephone and Electricity Wires are Left Loose?

We generally see hundreds of electricity and telephone wires. These wires which are hanged between two poles will be loose. There are scientific reasons for keeping the wires loose. Current or telephone wires are made of aluminum or iron. These elements will expand in the summer season due to sun’s heat and they contract in the winter season. So these wires are left loose for the proper contraction and expansion. If they are tight, then they will break in the middle or the poles will break down. In same way, we can see the gap between railway lines also. This gap is also left for contraction and expansion.
