Heat produced by the moon light is absorbed by the particles in the earth atmosphere | Moon is not self illuminated and produces light with the help of sun light

Moon Moon is very cool on the full moon day and the poets express this coolness in many ways. Moon which is more than one lakh kilometers away from the earth is not self illuminated and moon lightens with the sunlight by reflecting some part and absorbing some part. The heat energy which is given by the moon is distributed among the particles in the earth’s atmosphere and so it is not very hot. This is the reason for the coolness of the light given by moon. The intensity of the light which falls on the objects or particles results in the effect of heat on them. The light from the sun is produced with much heat and so the sun light heats up the earth’s atmosphere even though it is 15 crore kilometers away from the sun.
