Will the birds have tongue? | How can birds use their tongue?
We see the birds drinking water and taking the food with the beak. We can t see the tongue while the birds are eating and drinking. They have the tongue but it is not like the human’s tongue which can move in any direction. The bird’s tongue is strong and it is different in different birds. The tongues in various birds will be different and the wood pecker has a tongue which can catch and eat the food. The duck has the tongue to separate the liquids from the food it had taken. Few other birds have the tongue to separate the water and absorb the honey from the flowers and it is in the shape of a straw.
