Significace Of Nose in Recognizing Taste | People Suffering from Cold Cannot Recognize Tastes
Every body is aware of the fact that we sense tastes with tongue. But many of us don’t know how tongue does it. Nose sense smells very perfectly and rapidly whereas tongue doesn’t recognizes tastes at that much speed. Tongue recognizes bitter taste better than sweet. It takes the help of nose to differentiate between slight variations of tastes. Thus tongue cannot recognize taste perfectly when nose is unable to smell perfectly.
For example we cannot sense taste of many items when affected with cold. Researchers have found that we start to recognize sweet taste from the time we are in the womb. Some times we recognize some tastes by its smell without the intervention of tongue.
