Sea Water Contains 50 Million Billion Tons of Salt | 70% of Land Is Occupied By Seas
Sea water contains salts including sodium chloride of 50 quadrillion tons approximately. Taking salts from seas and if we spread on the earth it will form a thick layer of 500feet height. By this we can estimate at what level salts are there in seas.
Salt is present not only in sea water, but also in drinking water though in small quantities. For example, in a cubic foot of water in sea at least one kg of salt is present, but in same quantity of pure water there will be only 4 to 5 gms of salt. sea level contains 200 times more salt when compared to pure lake water.
70% of land is covered by sea water. 98% of water on earth is present in seas only on other planet is having water sources like earth. Evolution of life began on earth in sea water only.
