Are All Scorpions Poisonous?
Scorpions are the oldest order not only among Arachnids but also among all land Arthropods. They are supposed to have existed since the Silurian period by facing the negative situations they are living from tens crores of years. The scorpions are living since forty-five crores of years on the earth. In scorpions there are 2000 types. Depending on the types they are from 2.5 centimeters to 20 centimeters long. In snakes, there are two types of snakes’ poisonous and non-poisonous snakes, where as in scorpions all types of scorpions will release the poison at the sting or stinger also called a telson, located at the very end of the post-abdomen of the scorpion. However, the effect of the poison is not same for all scorpions. For example, in 2000 types of scorpions only 30-40 types of scorpions poison can kill the humans.
Sometimes, the female scorpion will eat male scorpion. At the same time they will move anywhere by carrying their child on their backside. Depending on their type they live for two to eight years. They mostly move at night time only. In ultraviolet rays, all scorpions will shine. This is the other specialty of scorpions.
