What is supernova?
There will be various stages for the stars in the sky as the human being has stages like birth, teenage, old age and death in their life. These stages in the life cycle of the star are called as red giant star, supernova, neutron star and black hole. There will be many changes in the life cycle of the star. Final stages of the stars which are having 8 times more gravitational force than the sun will be different from the normal stars. In the final stages, it releases the energy into the space with the light energy which is equal to the 1000 suns. This star is called as super nova. When there is gravitational collapse of the star, it is called as neutron star. After that it collapses again and it is called as black hole. There will be more gravitational force in the neutron star and the mass will be more. As the electrons are not present in the electron shells and due to the presence of only neutrons, it is called as neuron star. Even though the radius of the neutron star is up to 20 kilometers, its mass is more than the sun’s mass.
