Newgrange is one of the ancient constructions which are there in one of the county named Meath in Ireland. This construction is found in the eastern side which is about one kilometer away from the north of the River Boyne. The Newgrange is constructed during the Neolithic period around 3100 and 2900 BC. This construction is regarded as a tomb which is taken as a memory of the dead. This Newgrange is constructed in a forest like area round in shape and there is a way to enter into the grange. The artists are having a belief that there are some of the religious beliefs which are attached to its construction closely. This construction is regarded as the ‘World Heritage Site’ by the UNESCO people. The UNESCO has found some other constructions which are same to this Newgrange. The constructions which are found in West Europe are in the Neolithic style and also resemble the Newgrange constructions only.

In the beginning of the construction of the Newgrange it is regarded as one of the construction where there is a route and entry into the tombs. Later on the entry of this Newgrange is closed and is not opened for some thousands of years. There are number of stories and beliefs regarding the Newgrange. A research on this Newgrange has been started from the 17th century onwards and is continuing till today. The archeological department specialists have made many diggings in that area to trace out the facts. In the year 1970, the real Neolithic outlook came into light. At present, the Newgrange has been changed as one of the famous tourist places in the world.
