How was the fax machine invented? | What is history of the fax machine?

fax machine The word fax had originated from the word Facsimile which means that it is a copy of the actual one which is like the original one. Fax machine is the machine which is used to send the written documents from one place to another with the help of the telephone lines. The fax machine at the senders side coverts the pictures and information on the paper into bit map in the form of dots and sends them to the receiver side fax machine. This fax machine receives the code of zeroes and ones and converts them to the dots and then the images and the matter on the receiver’s side. The idea of the fax machine came into existence in B.C 1842 but it took lot of time to come into the existence.

The invention of the fax machine was started by the Scotland man named Alexander Brain who was a watch mechanic. Before the fax machine, there was a telegraphy machine but there was a problem in transferring the files. It was helpful to send the coded information but on the receiver’s side, they should again decode it. There were other machines like the one which Brain had introduced which are the copying telegraphy, pass telegraphy, tele diagraphy etc. The first fax was sent from Paris to Lyon city and the radio broadcasting technology was used in 1926 and the paper copies are sent from one place to another one using radio photo machine. They have the fax machine in 1947 by Alexander Muirhead which works completely and on March 4th, the first fax was sent to Khandara. And in 1980, the fax machine became popular. The usage of the fax machine is decreased by the invention of E-mail and scanning machines.
