How was glass invented? | Why glass is also called super cooled liquid?
There are many inventions which were invented as experiment results. One of those is glass and it is used in many ways. The chemical concentration of the glass is formed by sodium silicate, calcium silicate and silica. They use sand, soda ash and calcimine. The glass was invented unknowingly and it is interesting to know it. Few men took nitrum in the ship when they were going on a trip. They have prepared the stove with the nitrum pieces as they could not get any stones. They prepared the food on this and a substance formed when the nitrum mixed with the sand which was on the shore. And they came to know that the substance was becoming hard on cooling. So they prepare the liquid form of the glass and cooled it in a particular way. So the glass is having the name as the super cooled liquid. And when it is in liquid form, it is poured into different moulds and different types of glass materials are formed. This is called as glass blowing.
