Haldane Genes play a vital role in the human birth and their growth. J.B.S Haldane is the person who explained about role of genes and their changes. Haldane is the person who has many qualities and he was a scientist, researcher, mathematician, daring soldier, revolutionist and literate. He can speak in many languages and he settled in India with the affection towards this country. John Burdon Sanderson Haldane was born on November 5th, 1892 in Oxford in England. He was active student from childhood and started research at the age of eight by observing his father’s experiments. He won Russell prize for mathematics at the age of 16 years. He learnt many languages like French, Latin, Greek and German. Haldane was very daring soldier who entered the enemy region and collected information. He was named as Rambo for attacking the enemies with bombs. After the war, Haldane joined in Cambridge University and completed research in biochemistry. After that he was attracted towards genetics and did research in heredity mutations. He was elected as Fellow of Royal Society. Haldane was selected as professor in the university.

More importance is given for the principles given by Haldane in physiology, medicine, genetics, biochemistry, mathematics and cosmology. Haldane has the credit of combining genetics with mathematics. And as a result of this, he calculated the mutation and human genes rate. This means that the characteristics which are not present in parents are seen in their children. This change takes place in a single person for every fifty thousand people. Haldane’s principles are considered as laws in enzyme chemistry which give the information on human evolution. He had found the medicine for tetanus and other diseases. He wrote many essays after joining in the communist party and wrote stories for children after coming out from the party. As a part of research, he came to India and settled in India from 1957 as he was attracted to the lifestyle and Vedas. At first, Haldane joined in Indian Statistical institute and later on, worked as director for genetics and Biometry laboratory. Haldane died of cancer in 1964 and a region in Kolkata was named after him.
