People eat rice, chapathi or other foods daily. The materials like wheat, vegetables and other ingredients are required for cooking the food. In the 1950- 60 years, plantation of the ingredients was very less and Swaminathan was person who developed the seeds which give more products. Swaminathan was born on August 25th, 1925 in Tamil Nadu. He was fond of science subject from the childhood and so he continued his higher education in the science field. Food production was increased more due to research done by him and he also worked in many higher positions. He worked as the advisor for Indian Agriculture department and he also worked as director for the Indian agriculture research institute. He introduced the good quality wheat which gives more production in India. He also played a vital role in developing the plants like potatoes and other vegetables to give more production. Indian agriculture had developed a lot and this is the result of Swaminathan research. This is called as green revolution and Swaminathan was called as Father of Green Revolution.
