Due to increase in the technology, the speed of the vehicles has increased and it has become easy for the humans to move from one place to other. Rails were first introduced to India in 1853.  Do you know that a train in china has created a record by moving faster in the world .Can you imagine its speed? It moves 416 km/hr. It used to take 2 hrs between shanghai and Beijing cities. Now it has reduced to only 45 minutes. China has built a High-speed railway line system for these types of trains. Previously the fastest moving train recorded was HSR350X belong to Korea .its speed was 352.4km/hr. Japan is the first country to developer HSR Technology. Due to high costs and safety concerns the top speeds in china will be reduced to 300km/hr from July, 2011.India has the largest rail transport system in the world. The fastest train in India is the shatabdi express and Mumbai Rajdhani is the second largest train.

In India the usage of cars is increasing at a higher rate. Tata motors India is the India’s largest automobile company. It is the first company to be listed in NYSE. Tata Nano is the world’s cheapest passenger car manufactured by Tata motors. Most of the India’s car manufacturing industry is based in and around Chennai and is known as Detroit of India. Did you hear cars whose cost is in crores? Bugatti Veyron car rate is 2.4 Million which is more than 10 crores. It moves with a speed of 431.07km/hr.it can reach a speed up to 60 km within 2.5seconds.This car is designed by Volkswagen car company from Germany. The car is named with the French racing driver.

The fastest moving helicopter is Sikorsky x2 which is in America. It moves with a speed of 416km/hr. The previous record was under West land links and its speed is 400km/hr. The number of people travelling by air is gradually increasing.

Safety and comfort varies from one mode of transport to other. Rail journey has less weather dependency than the air travel .Air travel has no standing passengers and the seats are limited. Passengers travelling by air reaches the destination in a lesser time. In countries like India Railways carries the most number of people safely from one destination to other. Even the cost of journey by rail is lesser than the air travel. If the rail system is well designed and well operated several weather conditions such as heavy snow, heavy fog and storms do not affect the journeys, whereas flight journeys are generally cancelled or delayed under these conditions.
