writing or readingIt is impossible to imagine the world without reading and writing. Let us see the details of history of writing.

Writing was started initially in China, America and early Mesopotamia which belongs to present Iraq. In these three nations people have started writing individually without depending on one another.

In olden writings, picture related signals were there instead of letters. Experts are saying that the pictures on the early caves also, belong to the writing work only.

It is believed that writing was started in Sumer in 4000B.C. at the beginning of Bronze Age. People drew and marked spot like signals on bauxite plates with a device called Stylun. Later, gradually people started drawing pictures.

In Egypt, picture related writing called Hieroglyphic was started in 3000B.C. Writing Indus language was started in 3rd millennium B.C. It was believed that writing was started in China in 1600 B.C.

Now there are thousands of languages for speaking, discussing and communicating. But many languages don’t have script for writing. It is even difficult to imagine the life without writing.
