Coconut Tree Dies When It is Cut | Monocotyledon Trees Cannot Regenerate Stem Cells
The life of a tree is based on its genetic structure. There are many families and classes in classification of trees. The trees such as coconut tree are monocotyledons. The trees or plants belonging to the family of non monocotyledons have the ability of growing even after cutting down. These kinds of trees contain stem cells which are responsible for the regeneration of the plant at the spots cut down. Coconut tree doesn’t have much stem cell and thus dies off on being cut down. The regeneration of the plant also depends on the spot that was cut.
