Cement Turns Hard If Kept outside |Cement When Comes In Contact With Water Hardens

CementThere are salts like ferrates, silicates, aluminates, borates and tungstates in   cement. If water is added to this then a chemical reaction occurs. Salts in cement will form hydrogen bonds with water atoms. That is the reason why the cement hardens. This is called cement setting or hardening. While constructing the houses, cement will be mixed with water and used it immediately and later watering makes the construction stronger. If cement bags are kept outside, even though not touched with water, humidity and moisture in the air reach the cement through the holes of bag and the chemical reaction occurs. That is the reason the cement bags those are kept outside for several days will become hard like stones and are not useful for the construction.
