Bible was the first book to be printed after the invention of printing machine | One of the master copies of Bible was bought by Bill Gates in an auction for Rs.135 crores

BibleBible is the holy and sacred book for Christians. Bible is now provided at no cost to all. In general, even if anyone has the desire to buy a book also, he will think once or twice whether to buy it or not, because he has to spend some hundreds of rupees. But it is surprising to hear that Software gaint Microsoft head, Bill Gates has bought the holiest and cleanest book at a cost of Rs.135 crores.

After inventing printing machine the first book that got printed was Bible. Not only in the world, but in India also, Bible is the first book that got printed. Johannes Gutenberg, the inventor of printing press, had printed 180 copies of Bible for the first time. This publishing activity took 3 years i.e. from 1453 A.D to 1456 A.D. Bible was initially printed in Latin language. After a long time, first 50 copies of those 180 copies initially printed became available. In the first three master copies printed by Johannes Gutenberg, one copy was bought by Library of Congress for 2 crore rupees.

Later, of the remaining two master copies, one was bought by Bill Gates in an auction held in 1994 for RS.135 crores. And third and final master copy was kept ready for sale in NewYork. If anybody wants to buy it, he has to spend more than 200 crores of rupees for it now.
