What are the Advantages and Disadvantages of Uvula?
It is the language which separates the man from animal. The system which is useful for this purpose is there in the human being separately. Besides all the body parts like tongue, jaws, inner mouth, teeth formation and lips in the mouth area, even the Uvula is also very important. When the air taken with the respiratory system and when that air is passed through the larynx with the orders and suggestions made by the brain, the sound is produced. Those sounds are changed into the language and speech form by the tongue and other parts of the human body system. If those sounds are passed in a proper order and arrangement, the articulation is possible and there comes the speech from the mouth. In this process of articulation of speech, even the Uvula also plays an important role. If the position of Uvula is not in a proper way, the sound, noise and the speech will not be in a proper way. On the other hand, when the food particles are swallowed, this Uvula acts as a wall and do not allow the food particles to pass into the trachea.
